September 4 -- 7:00 pm
An evening of history, forgotten men and grand ideals in The York Emporium.

Join us for a fascinating evening exploring the life and experiences of Civil War surgeon Henry Janes, the subject of a new work by historian Janet L. Bucklew.

Bucklew is a Battlefield Guide at the Gettysburg National Military Park, and a darn good story teller. In this volume, she has written a narrative of valor, dedication and selflessness set against the backdrop of America at war with itself.

Through original research in primary sources, Bucklew provides a glimpse into the times, the battle and the people who lived--and died--for themselves, for others and for their countries.

Light refreshments served.
